REASSESS TEEJAY - (KENYAN RAPPER & HIHOP ARTIST) PROFILE
Kenyan rapper Reassess Teejay, born Trevor Thiriri has always been reflective about the state of affairs in the day to day livelihoods of people living in his community and of the society at large. Tapping into his passion for music from a tender age of nine, Reasess found himself influenced by the hiphop music and culture by legendary hiphop icons like Ice Cube and Dr Dre among others whose style was globally acclaimed. With a pursuit to follow his dream and explore his growing passion for music, Reassess explored different hiphop subgenres while in his high school and discovered that he could channel his thoughts and creativity trough this hiphop medium. Locally in Kenya, Reasses was influenced by the likes of Kalamashaka, Bamboo, Abbas, Octopizzo and others that got massive airplay on local radio stations such as Kiss fm and others.
