Mc Lilpin alias the microphone doctor is a well-established and renowned independent Reggae & Dancehall music recording and performing artist from Kenya, East Africa. Mc Lilpin discovered his passion for music at a young age while still in primary school where he also cultivated his music talent in the choir. With a determination to find his place and express himself through music, Mc Lilpin began writing music lyrics in high school some of which featured on his first solid music start out project that was a gospel pre-album titled “I’ll still be me” back in 2008.



Having always been inspires by music as a force that impacts all people across various generations, Mc Lilpin was particularly influenced by music legends such as Bob Marley, Clinton Fearon, Buju Banton , Garnet Silk among other greats. Mc Lilpin also underpinned the inspiration and support his mother gave through his journey to discovering his talent in music  to the point he was able to deliver through his inspired creative process and getting the attention of his first audiences around 2009.

At the start of his music career, MC Lilpin  explored various blends of music such as Afrobeat,Dancehall among others and in 2014, his work took a clear direction as he embarked on a debut Swahili – sheng single titled “Kwa Mtaa” that shed  spotlight of the youth in the community facing unemployment challenges and the indulgence in violent crimes for desperation & lack of hope.

With determination to carry through the message of self-identity and pride, Mc Lilpin released another song in 2016 titled Still Be Me, a song that speaks on tendency of the influence of people around forcing one to conform or live according to what is right in their perspective and the consequence of lack of self-identity & pride devastating the lives and aspirations of people from pressure. The music was well received with positive reviews of different media, serving a great encouragement to Mc Lilpin.

In 2018, a year what served great reckoning for Mc Lilpin with an outright affirmation for his great potential in the music and entertainment industry saw the recording of his biggest record, a song known as Provider produced by Josh producer under Denim Records, which also later scored a great visual that premiered on youtube and around popular Tv stations in Kenya. The music has opened doors for Mc Lilpin granting him myriads of opportunity locally and internationally to work with producers such as Jeremy Hernandez from USA, Greg Even, a top sound engineer from Slovenia, Rankie Sadat, Adabia on the beat, Producer josh among other notable top talent from around the world.

Mc Lilpin has held steady onto the path to success in the music industry in Africa and globally with a strong message of love, peace, harmony and with a great intent to transform minds and hearts through his music talent that continues to impact his growing fan base in Kenya and beyond. He reckons that even though the global Covid 19 pandemic has fairly impacted his goals and timelines in the industry, he is very much optimistic of a total turnaround for the better soon and the course of global entertainment and Reggae music will regain its footing worldwide.

With a current undertaking of an album compilation as his main focus this year, Mc Lilpin is kin on creating timeless reggae music classics that will stand the test of time with longevity, impacting all people around the world as he affirms his position as a formidable music force to reckon with from his music that has spread across the nation and beyond the African boundaries.
