MWENYEJI SPIKES

 Mwenyeji Spikes is a creative director, published author and a literary enthusiast with a passion for development in Africa. With a management and HR background, Spikes is engaged with the art-preneurs community in Nairobi, Kenya on multiple fronts in endeavors to spur growth in the creative enterprise industry in East Africa. Through collaborative networking Spikes has established a vibrant platform for artists and other stakeholders by co-founding, PumziAfrika (Pumzi Hub), a creative collective agency that serves the goal of uniting artists and creating opportunities for enterprise in art.

Spikes is passionate about the unity and development agenda in Africa. Sharing forward ideologies on the Blackhotfire weekly podcast, the 54 correspondence podcast show, he aspires to bring the unity for progress agenda closer to the local conversation trail on and off social media and offline platforms. With a flair for writing, Spikes has actively been engaged with collaborative and solo writing projects. He has worked on the new published poetry sequel Word Vapor featuring Alex Orisafele, a Nigerian writer and poet based in Lagos.

In a bid to foster the goal of aggregating forward ideas by African thinkers, he established the Jumbo Sawa group, a social enterprise entity and African think tank to address issues such as the high youth unemployment rates, environmental, cultural and social economic challenges facing different African communities at the grassroots levels.

Having established strong social and networking links in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Malawi and South Africa through the Africa Connect group established in 2019 and headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. Spikes has coordinated many African unity initiatives that set a path fostering Unity , understanding and cooperation among African youth around the continent.

Spikes of open to working collaborations with other like minded individuals and entities that share the passion for African social economic and environmental agenda at various levels in diverse African communities. Being a strong believer in the potential Africa holds, Spikes is optimistic that much can be achieved with proper focus on the unity and development agenda for better livelihoods of our generation and future posterity.
