The festival was established in 2022 from the existent need of uniting creatives and sharing a common platform for artists and art enthusiasts to accelerate the growth and development of the creative enterprise sector as well as curating unique music and art exhibition experiences for fans around the country.

The fiesta festival gives opportunity to established and budding artists to present their best craft and to interact with fans and audiences on multiple platforms both physical and online. The theme of the festival is inspired by current trends, opportunities and challenges encountered by artists and society at large.

The fiesta mashariki concerts held in open and accessible venues have affordable ticket pricing to assure more accessibility by attendants and to assure the sustainability of the festival and associated programs. Through an online fiesta platform, artists are able to sign up for performances and also reach out to the fiesta festival team for performance arrangements and agreements.

The enormous task of organizing the festival is undertaken by the festival planning committee which coordinates the efficient organization of the festival to meet its stipulated goals and objectives. The fiesta mashariki festival also invites support from art funds and sponsors in kind and other form to help realize the mission and proliferate the festival on a sustainable basis.
